Depending upon the agreed assessment, you will be sent Online pre-assessment questionnaires to complete prior to your appointment for specialist diagnostic assessment. There will also be an online form for someone who knows you well (preferably since childhood) to provide us information. For child assessment, we will also be requesting information from the school.

You will receive a one-on-one in-depth video consultation with one of Psych2Gether’s experienced Consultant Psychiatrists. For neurodevelopmental disorder assessment in children, the evaluation will be conducted jointly by a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Clinical Psychologist, using gold-standard psychometric scales to understand your mental health needs and provide feedback with guidance for a personalized treatment plan.

A full confidential psychiatric report will be sent to you within two weeks, with a copy also sent to your GP. It will include all assessment details as discussed in the interview, as well as the results from the pre-assessment questionnaires along with the outcomes. Additionally, it will provide information about treatment options that can be offered by Psych2Gether.

No — a GP referral is not required for private assessments. We recommend informing your GP; they will receive a copy of your assessment.
The specialist assessment includes a detailed clinical interview, standardised symptom questionnaires, review of developmental history and records, risk/comorbidity screening (mood, anxiety, substance use, sleep), and optional cognitive testing if needed. Your psychiatrist will combine this information with pre- assessment questionnaires to determine whether you meet DSM-5 criteria for adult ADHD.
Yes. Diagnostic criteria require symptoms present in childhood. We ask for school reports, childhood records, or collateral contacts. If unavailable, clinicians use best- evidence approaches and collateral interviews.
Assessment process starts within 24hrs of contacting us. Once we have received all pre-assessment questionnaires a comprehensive diagnostic assessment will be booked within two weeks’ time with a consultant psychiatrist.

Yes. You will receive a formal diagnostic report summarising history, findings, diagnosis (if any), recommendations and treatment options within 2 weeks after comprehensive diagnostic assessment.
We accept patients privately and can liaise with NHS services and GPs to arrange shared-care prescribing where appropriate, subject to local GP agreement.
We will provide a comprehensive diagnostic report to support referral to NHS services; acceptance and waiting times are determined by local NHS policy.
